Black Tambourine performs “Pack You Up” at The Bell House for Chickfactor 20

So begins my coverage of the Chickfactor 20 Anniversary shows in Brooklyn. Despite the fact the slogan for these celebrations is “For The Love of Pop”  I have chosen a dark and haunting track from Black Tambourine to kick things off.

“Pack You Up” appears on the 1999 Slumberland release titled “Complete Recordings.”  (Slumberland co-founder Mike Schulman is on bass guitar here and singer Pam Berry is a co-founder of Chickfactor.)

I promise clips will get a bit more poppy…but hey the 90’s weren’t all sweetness and light for many of us. Enjoy this ass-kicking and empowering song.
